About Tied House
History Process Brew Pubs Personnel
Colonial taverns provided a lively forum for the radical ideas of Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Ben Franklin, and other dangerous revolutionaries. Thomas Jefferson wrote much of the Declaration of Independence at the Indian Queen Tavern. The British called the taverns of Colonial America "hotbeds of sedition" and they were right, Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty planned the Boston Tea Party at their favorite meeting place The Green Dragon Tavern.

Rediscover the ambience that inspired our forefathers! The Tied House Cafe & Breweries were established to further this American beer hall tradition of thoughtful conversation and the pursuit of fermented libations. The Tied Houses were designed to encourage group conversation and socializing and whether you are single, or the head of a large family gathering, the Tied House will provide you with the perfect setting to gather support for your fermenting ideas.

The Tied House Cafe and Breweries fully embrace this concept and offer a wide variety of American Beer Hall delectables.

The Tied House Cafe and Breweries are large and airy, full-service restaurants with seating that can accommodate parties from two to three-hundred for lunch, dinner, and late-night dining. They also feature outdoor beer gardens and patio dining, display brewing & display kitchens, and a long and imaginative menu. There are daily pastas, several fresh fish, salad, and sandwich specials, as well as excellent pub-style foods ranging from freshly baked bread, smoked fish, cheeses, and poultry, to fried calamari and black bean nachos con todo. Because of the ambience created by the on-site brewery, the Tied Houses have become both a destination for out-of-towners and a home-away-from-home to locals at our Mountain View, and San Jose locations. Brewery tours and tastings are free and open to the public.
